Home Health Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)

AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina (ACNC) and HHAeXchange (HHAX) offer providers free tools for meeting the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ requirement for using an electronic visit verification (EVV) system for home health services.

The following guidance applies to home health providers with a taxonomy code of 251E00000X providing home health aide services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and skilled nursing visits.

If you have not enrolled with HHAeXchange, please register on their website. HHAX will build your unique provider portal and will send you a confirmation email with your credentials.

Please be sure to use appropriate service codes with HCPCS and Revenue Codes, as found in our Crosswalk document (PDF), when filing a claim.
