Don’t Lose Your Medicaid Benefits!

Do you have questions about Medicaid recertification? Are you or is someone in your family still eligible for Medicaid coverage?

During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), states were not allowed to terminate or reduce Medicaid benefits. With the end of the PHE, states can terminate or reduce Medicaid benefits based on an eligibility determination for each member. All Medicaid members in your household must be recertified for Medicaid eligibility by your local Department of Social Services (DSS) each year before their annual coverage end date. Those who are no longer eligible for Medicaid will lose their coverage.

You may be contacted by your local DSS if they need additional information to complete their review. It is very important to respond if DSS asks for information. If you don’t respond, you could lose important benefits.
